Macmillan Academy Guest of Honor @ Annual Awards Evening

Well, this was definitely a first for me… but definitely a first that I loved doing!

After my engagement with my old college via the stem ambassador program, I was approached to return to Macmillan Academy as one of their guests of honour at their prestigious annual awards evening for students (I actually got one myself when I was studying there and it was held at the town hall).

Like I’ve already mentioned when i got the opportunity to go back there to do two talks for their stem careers day, I have a lot of pride in where I come from and I am definitely indebted to the academy for helping me get to where I am today!

It was a great experience and I was super nervous delivering my speech, hopefully it was somewhat motivating or inspiring … I was screaming with anxiety / nerves as I delivered it!

They even did a poster! :O
