Android Dev, Careers Fairs & Runefest
Spent borderline 4 hours trying to get my ‘Github’ed’ Android project to debug as a proper project to no avail… I can commit changes and push to the Github but it then won’t debug… Workaround for now is committing changes, then pulling the project and debugging the state of that project… (A little longer, but I’ll get round to fixing it appropriately).
The careers fair season is coming up! And I really enjoy speaking to students and recent graduates, not just about the roles currently available, but I always love the passionate and positive vibe that I get back about Software Development and Games! It recharges me as an individual and reminds me how fortunate I am (and to keep on enjoying it!).
I was recently invited to publish something on LinkedIn (not sure if it’s something thats offered to people who have had a linked in account for several years). I’ve been thinking about consolidating the various blog posts, links, powerpoint presentations and bits of knowledge that I’ve accumulated (and people may find useful).
Finally, RUNEFEST! Can’t wait. That is all 😀
Additionally, I was keeping tabs on Microsofts recent acquisition of UnityVS, I find working with Visual Studio more comfortable (getting familiar with mono develop is probably a good thing).
