More Hardware Experimentation + HomeView Implementation = A Soldering Iron?!

It’s been almost a month since I last blogged about the project. Do not fear! I’ve been hard at work mostly implementing it ready for the 30th.

Anyways, I’ve been experimenting with the webcam hardware to achieve better night vision, and using the IR LEDs from a standard remote control the light is acutally illuminating me up pretty well!

So tomorrow I plan on removing the actual LED’s off the webcam I smashed *cough* reconfigured and soldering on some IR LED’s to see how much light they actually provide… Hopefully enough to see my car clearly :)!

On the vein of the project, Documentation must be done by 25th to demo to Barry. Finished completely by 30th, then Artefact Delivery on 31st – 4th May and the Viva sometime between then and 14th. EXPOTEES on the 9th too! BUSY BUSY BUSY
